Moxibustion, cupping, guasha, herbal medicine, esoteric acupuncture and dry needling for neck, back and joint pain is available on the Central Coast in Erina and Green Point. These target muscle, ligament, joint and tissue dysfunction in a number of ways. The use of acupuncture needles at specific points to balance energy flow, release endorphins, and improve circulation, reducing pain and stiffness in conditions like arthritis or tendonitis. Needling of trigger points is a traditional method of treating painful areas directly. Our practitioners have Masters Degree qualifications in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture qualifications, and have been practicing for over 30 years using the many techniques including the technique described as "dry needling". This kind of approach has been used traditionally because it focuses on inserting needles directly into areas where muscle knots or trigger points need direct attention to enhance range of motion, and break the pain-spasm cycle, particularly for issues like back pain or sports injuries. Local points and distal points have been always been used traditionally and they both stimulate healing responses, making them valuable for managing musculoskeletal discomfort.
